She has had articles published in various magazines and has been featured in the Newsday career section. Lhea has written a monthly column for LIwomen.com, spotlighting Long Island businesswomen who make a positive difference. Recently, Lhea was honored with an Achiever's Award for outstanding business and humanitarian accomplishments, which culminated in a certificate of recognition from Governor Andrew Cuomo for community service.

In the volunteer arena, Lhea is the current past-president of the Long Island Center for Business & Professional Women, a thirty-two year old premier women's networking organization. She is a former Board Member of the US Women's Chamber of Commerce, where she contributed to the launch of the first Diversity Awards on Long Island in 2004. She has co-chaired and sat on the Women of Distinction committee for the March of Dimes for more than seven years, helping to improve the mortality rate of babies and expectant mothers. For the past two years, Lhea is an active member of Rotary, where she has participated in both a board and committee-level capacity.

Lhea Scotto-Laub grew up on Long Island, New York and graduated from Hofstra University. She and her husband Barry have five terrific children and six beautiful grandchildren.
